What is on the quote template, and why

Quote numberSo the client and you can refer to it later, and the contract can point to it.
Valid untilHow long the price holds. Thirty days is common.
Scope linesEach deliverable or stage on its own line, so the client can drop one without renegotiating the rest.
Quantity and unitDays, hours, pages, images: whatever you actually price by.
Tax and totalThe total the client will be invoiced, with tax shown, so the invoice holds no surprises.
TermsRevisions included, deposit, stages, and how many days each invoice has.

Questions

Can I use this as an estimate template?

Yes. Write Estimate in the notes and say the figure can change, and by how much. A quote is a fixed price for a fixed scope; an estimate is your best guess.

How do I turn an accepted quote into an invoice?

Here, copy the lines into the invoice generator. In OIO an accepted proposal turns into an invoice draft with the same client, project and lines.

Is the quote template free?

Yes, with no account and no limit. The PDF has a small Made with OIO line at the foot.

One app for the paperwork and the work

In OIO proposals, invoices and contracts belong to the client and the project they're for, and the money view shows what is outstanding and what is paid. Free plan, no card.
