Quote template for photographers
The quote is where you find out what the photos are for. Ask where they will appear, for how long, and in which markets, then price the licence from that. Ask how many final images the client needs and what they expect from retouching. "A few product shots" can mean eight images or eighty.
Then price the production around it: prep, crew, studio or location, props, travel, and post. Delivery count is worth being exact about. Saying "approximately 300 edited images" for an event or "12 retouched finals" for a product shoot sets the expectation that stops an argument after delivery.

- Location or studio, equipment hire and travel.
- Delivery format and timeline, including how long the gallery stays online.
- Kill fee and reschedule terms by notice period.
Questions photographers ask
How many photos should a photographer deliver?
Whatever number you put in the quote. For commercial work, quote a number of retouched finals. For events, quote an approximate range of edited images. Then additional selects are priced per image.
Should a photography quote include RAW files?
Most photographers do not deliver RAW files, because they are unfinished work. If a client asks, quote it separately and say that the licence still applies to anything made from them.
How do I price usage rights for a photo shoot?
Start from where the images will be used: web, print, advertising, packaging, outdoor. Then consider territory, duration and exclusivity. Wider, longer and exclusive use is priced higher. Keep it as a separate line so it can be adjusted without touching your creative fee.
Quote it, then invoice it, without retyping
In OIO a proposal belongs to its client and project. When it's accepted it becomes an invoice draft with the same lines, and the money view shows what is outstanding and what is paid. Free plan, no card.
