Quote template for web developers
A web quote that says "5 page website" is asking for trouble, because pages are not the unit of work. Templates are. A blog with two hundred posts is one template; a homepage with a configurator is a small project. Count the distinct layouts, the integrations (payments, booking, CRM, newsletter) and anything that needs custom code, and price those.
Then write down the boundaries. Which browsers and devices you test on, whether the client provides final copy and images or you are loading drafts, whether a staging site is included, and what launch acceptance looks like. Most web disputes are about one of those four, and each is one sentence in a quote.

What a web developer's quote should spell out
- Number of page templates and the integrations included, named one by one.
- Browsers and devices the site is tested on, so an old browser bug later is clearly out of scope.
- Who supplies final copy, images and translations, and by what date.
- Third-party costs the client pays: hosting, domain, theme and plugin licences, paid APIs.
- A staging site for review, and how launch acceptance works.
- Whether maintenance after launch is included, offered as a retainer or not offered.
Questions web developers ask
How do web developers price a website?
Most price per template and per integration, with a day rate behind it for anything unknown. A fixed price works once you have a sitemap and know what the content looks like. Before that, quote a paid discovery phase and price the build afterwards.
Should a website quote include content entry?
Say either way. If the client is loading their own content, write that. If you are doing it, put a cap on it, for example a number of pages or hours, because content always arrives later and in a worse state than promised.
Do I need to list browser support in a quote?
Yes. Name the browsers and versions you test against. Without it, any layout glitch on any device the client owns becomes a bug you are expected to fix for free.
Quote it, then invoice it, without retyping
In OIO a proposal belongs to its client and project. When it's accepted it becomes an invoice draft with the same lines, and the money view shows what is outstanding and what is paid. Free plan, no card.
