Cancellation & Refund Policy
Last updated: 2026-10-05
This policy explains how to cancel a paid OIO plan and when you get money back. It is part of our Terms of Service. OIO is run by Damian Mathew Bishop, Poznań, Poland.
1. How billing works
- Your first paid subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. We take your card at checkout and charge nothing until the trial ends.
- After the trial, plans are charged in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until you cancel.
- Payments go through Stripe. We are the seller and send you the receipt or invoice.
- We are exempt from Polish VAT (art. 113 of the Polish VAT Act), so no VAT is added to the price.
2. Cancelling
- Cancel any time in Settings > Billing, or email [email protected] from your account address.
- During the trial: cancel before it ends and you are never charged.
- After the trial: cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for, then the workspace moves to the Free plan. Your data stays.
- Consumers on yearly plans: after a yearly plan has renewed automatically, you can end it any time with one month's notice and we refund the unused whole months.
3. 14-day right of withdrawal (consumers)
If you are a consumer (or a Polish sole trader buying outside your professional activity), you can withdraw from a paid plan within 14 days of the day you completed checkout, without giving a reason.
- Within the free trial: nothing has been charged, so there is nothing to refund. Withdrawing simply ends the subscription.
- After the first charge, still within the 14 days: at checkout you asked us to start the Service straight away. So we refund what you paid minus a proportionate amount for the days you had the paid plan up to the day you told us you were withdrawing. Example: a $29 monthly plan, charged on day 8, withdrawn on day 12, gives back $29 minus 4 days' worth.
- The right of withdrawal ends after 14 days. It also ends earlier if the Service has been fully provided within those 14 days, which for a monthly or yearly plan does not happen.
How to withdraw
Send us a clear statement before the 14 days are over. A plain email is enough. You can use the model form below, but you do not have to. Write to:
Damian Mathew Bishop (OIO)
ul. Wierzbięcice 44a/40A, 61-568 Poznań, Poland
[email protected]
It is enough that you send your statement before the deadline. We confirm receipt by email.
What happens then
We refund all payments due to you without undue delay and at the latest 14 days after we receive your withdrawal, to the same card you paid with, free of charge. Only the proportionate amount described above is kept.
Model withdrawal form
(Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.)

4. Other refunds
- Forgot to cancel a renewal: if you write to us within 7 days of a renewal charge and have not really used the new period, we normally refund it, for business customers too.
- Our fault: if the Service did not work as promised and we could not fix it in reasonable time, we refund the affected time (see the complaints section of the Terms).
- We end the agreement or change the terms or a paid feature in a way you reject: we refund the prepaid time after the end date.
- Charged twice or wrongly: always refunded in full.
5. When we do not refund
Outside the cases above, payments for a period that has started are not refunded. We may also refuse a voluntary refund when an account was closed for a serious breach of the Terms, or for repeated refund-and-resubscribe abuse. This never limits a statutory right.
6. How to ask
Email [email protected] from your account address with the date and amount of the charge. We answer within 14 days, usually much sooner. Refunds go back to the original card; your bank may take 5 to 10 business days to show them.
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we update the date at the top and give notice as described in the Terms. Changes never apply to payments made before them in a way that leaves you worse off.
