HEIC to JPG converter

iPhones save photos as HEIC, which many Windows programs and client systems still cannot open. Convert them to JPG and send something everyone can view.

Your files never leave your computer. They are processed in this browser tab, using a decoder that loads the first time it is needed.

JPG quality

How to use it

  1. Drop HEIC or HEIF photos, or tap the box to pick them.
  2. Choose a JPG quality. High is close to the original.
  3. Press Convert, then download each JPG or all of them as a ZIP.

Free, no account. The page loads once, then the work happens in your browser. We don't receive the file, its name or anything in it.

Questions

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The file is opened by this browser tab and processed on your computer. There is no upload step, so we never see the file or its name, and closing the tab throws the work away.

Why does the first photo take longer?

Safari opens HEIC by itself. Other browsers need a decoder, about 1 MB, which loads the first time you convert and runs in your browser.

Will the JPG keep the photo's details?

The picture keeps its full resolution. Metadata such as the camera model and GPS location is not copied, which is safer when the photo goes to a client.

Can I stop my iPhone saving HEIC?

Yes. In Settings, Camera, Formats, choose Most Compatible. New photos are then saved as JPG, at a larger file size.
