MP4 to MP3 converter
Pull the audio out of a video and save it as an MP3: a recorded client call, a voice memo filmed on a phone, or the sound of a walkthrough.
Your files never leave your computer. They are processed in this browser tab.
How to use it
- Drop the video, or tap the box to pick it. MP4, MOV, WebM and M4A work.
- Choose the MP3 quality. 128 kbps is plenty for speech, 192 or 320 for music.
- Press Convert, keep the tab open, then download the MP3.
Free, no account. The page loads once, then the work happens in your browser. We don't receive the file, its name or anything in it.
Questions
Is my file uploaded?
No. The file is opened by this browser tab and processed on your computer. There is no upload step, so we never see the file or its name, and closing the tab throws the work away.
How long does it take?
Usually much less than the length of the recording, since only the audio is converted. The first run downloads the 10 MB audio and video engine once.
Which bitrate should I choose?
128 kbps for calls, meetings and voice notes, which is about 1 MB per minute. 192 or 320 kbps for music.
It says the file has no audio track. Why?
Some screen recordings are saved without sound. Check the original plays with sound in a video player.
